Our Views and Goals

       Tailfeathers is a bird network dedicated to teaching bird owners about proper bird care, feeding, breeding, etc., as well as help bird owners with any issues and questions that come up while caring for their birds. With a set of experienced bird owners, as well as regular bird owners, tips and advice -- as well as stories and pictures! -- are being shared all the time.

       Not only do we have a great message board where this can happen, at the Pet Image Gallery, owners can have some fun looking at pictures of pets and they can also submit their own pets' pictures. We also have photo contests, over 40 articles that are constantly increasing, and more. Tailfeathers is all about birds!

It's simply the best. There are no other similar message boards out there that can compare to Tailfeathers. This is THE place to come on the net for Cockatiel & Budgie information and news. The community is active and very knowledgeable. Budgies-N-Tiels.com a great site (and how I found Tailfeathers) with a wealth of knowledge which makes a perfect complement to the boards. The gallery is the largest collection of cockatiel photos I have yet to see.

Tailfeathers is a great source for information as well as a fun place to both read and post about the interesting things that tiels do. I personally enjoy reading about all the different personalities these birds have. This is my first experience with a bird and I had NO idea that they were so personable. Tailfeathers has helped me learn a lot! Thanks to all the posters for all their help and stories!

I love Tailfeathers. It's helped in so many ways such as taming my babies, feeding them the right things, preventing breeding, choosing not to breed, and in many more ways. It's like a bird expert that is always there. The people here are nice and always answer your questions and if they don't know them, they give you places to go look for them. I love this place. My babies' lives would not have been this great if not for this site. Thanks creators of tailfeathers.

As soon as I decided (and my husband said I could!) get a budgie, I began looking around for some good info and a forum. I came by Tailfeathers during a search and read a few posts. From then on I was hooked! It is a great site with excellent info and friendly people. Now I just can't stay away!

This site has been the greatest help to me. When I got my baby tiel, I didn't know much about them. The guy who gave her to me told me there's nothing to taking care of these birds, and they only need 10-15 min. interaction with their human flock - the reason may have been that he had about six of them, so the mutual company among themselves must have been OK for him. Also, he didn't tell me anything about a diversified diet, he recommended some liquid vitamins in the water, grit, and all sorts of other wrong things. In short, I am just so greatful I found this site. It has been an endless source of knowledge and advise, and I think I read all (and I do mean ALL) posts here, and I am so happy I took the time to do it. Now I understand why my baby does the things she does, and I learned to appreciate the wonderful addition that she is in my life. Thank you to everybody who took the time to answer my posts, as well as others'. This is a wonderful board, and I haven't seen any like it out there. Thanks again everybody, and keep up the good work! Congratulations to all the admins and mods!

This is the best bird site that I have been to by far. The info is top rate the people are very helpful and friendly. If you need a good bird site, this is the place to be. You guys [Tailfeathers] should be the first link on every search page!!!!!

The people here are amazing! What one person doesn't know another will answer...posting these questions benefits everyone. I have never been to a friendlier board. When I first bought Sophie, she was sick, and these guys suffered (and still do, to some extent) with me and gave me advice. I've only been here for a couple months, but I've become a more confident bird owner with the help of this board.

I have been to LOTS of bird forums and this is by far the best I've ever seen. This forum was like a dunk in cool water on a hot sunny day! Everyone is sooo nice and helpful, and everyone knows a lot about birds! There's also no cussing or arguing allowed... what could be better! Another thing that's great about being here is that your posts almost always get answered within a day! There are so many people here all the time! What did all these bird owners do before Tailfeathers was created?

This site has been really helpful, along with bugies n tiels, in answering all my questions about my new tiel. I know I probably seem dumb at times, but I want to make sure I doing the best I can for Sebastian. Thanks to everyone answering all the question, and the ppl maintaining the site (Dan)

I have been a member for a few days now and I find myself glued daily to the board. It is very user-friendly. I am finding out loads of information and enjoying the pictures of everyone's loved ones.

This is truly a great site!

Despite searching through hundreds of other bird and pet communities online, I have yet to find one as welcoming and informative as Tailfeathers. Ever since my arrival, members have supported and helped me, shared their knowledge, and made owning a pet an even more rewarding experience. If there is anything concerning pets that I need to know, or would like to discuss, this is always the first place I visit.

can't say enough about the Tailfeathers community. I adopted my first 'tiel in July of 2002, with no clue what I was getting into. Everything I've learned, I've learned from this community, and this community is the reason why my Gracie and my Daniel are happy, healthy birds.

And just as awesome as the learning I've done here, I've made a few very dear friends, as well. Who can ask for more?

This site gave me the confidence and knowledge I needed to make a wise purchase and begin raising my cockatiel. It helped me learn things I didn't know about the budgies I already had. It's fun and the people have been great. There has been really good advice. I know I can always get my questions answered, have fun, and learn when I come here. No other site like it either. Thanks!!

One wonderful thing I've noticed about Tailfeathers...is the comfort it also gives, aside from the helpful advice and knowledge. It's nice to know that there are people out there who genuinley care about birds, and our pets alike.

Tailfeathers is where I got most of my knowledge of birds. It's also the place that made me sure that I was capable of taking care of my babies and to give them the most perfect life. :D

It's good to know that no matter what questions we might have, people will try their best to help and it's nice to know that I can help others as people helped me too when I first got my babies :)
