    angry birdie

My bird seems to get really aggressive and almost angry about 4 pm. Is there some that i should know? Do birds get cranky in the afternoos like kids that dont have naps?
She is only very young and is normally a really good bird, so i am just wondering if that behaviour is n ormal or not?
Also (if anything) what can i do to stop her being cranky?
    Thanx

well i don't know either, but i'll have a go! i don't know any other birds that get grumpy at a certain time, though it may just be that it needs time alone for a bit, to have a nap etc. dunno. try to just leave it alone at the time it gets grumpy, and play and stuff after/before. Does it get really hot there at that time? or noisy (like kids coming home etc) anything that might disturb/annoy it? i'm hoping someone else here might have more of an idea. keep us updated, maybe it's just shes young. sorry i can't be of more help.

Birds have a natural feeding time (in the wild) at around mid afternoon and then they take a little nap.Elvis is really cranky at night and it happens to most tiels. If you see your bird dleeping try not to disturb it and s/he will be happier!good luck

thanx..... It does get really hot here...sunner has been a killer so far!! But i keep her moist furing the day so that she doesnt get too grumpy!!
I have just started to dicipline her when she starts to be a bit naughty (what that means is that i put her away in her cage and stop playing with her)
and so far that seems to be working.
If there are anymore ideas let me know
    Thanx agian

Definately, a mirror could be causing this.

Omigod! You mean Elvis is alive after all??
I had to stumble through ezboard for 2 years
to finally find the truth. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> *falls over in a faint*<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

I wonder if baby birds aren't similar to human babies.
It's a poke and hope type situation to find out their
personalities, needs, and wants. Sounds selfish but
they don't know any better. I agree with probably
giving her some quiet time. Perhaps she has too
much stimulation going on. I am axious to hear if
this solution helps. Please keep us informed.
OR...what about a little goody snack in the afternoon?
People get cranky when their sugar goes off, so
    why not birds too?

Oh. And it's nice to meet you.
