any new treat suggestions for a picky tiel?

Hello again! My cockatiel has tried many treats but she is really picky and enjoys them for maybe a day or two. So far, I have tried: brocolli, apples, banana, no sugar/salt crackers, cheerios, cooked rice (THIS she loves), pasta, mangoes, cucumbers, and carrots. Any other suggestions?? I can't find any unsalted/unbuttered popcorn in any grocery store and I heard they love those.

Try getting a Subway sandwich. It'll be fun for you two to share. Also, green beans seem to be universal for birds.

Just wondering! I also finally found the popcorn (unsalted/unbuttered) at a natural food store and it wasn't a hit =(

I've read they LOVE celery tops (the leafy part) hung form the top of the cage!

I don't feed my 'teil anything canned 'casue the salt content is uaually very high, plus the preservatives.

ya don't want to put anything on anything..... just natural!
celery tops definatly a fav! brown bread, make your own 'birdie bread' or mix (check out the home page i think..) silver beet.... pretty much any leafy vegies, infact i can't think of a bad vegie (except iceburg lettuce is a waste of time) experiment! and if he only like it for a day or two, why are you feeding it for a day or two!? feed it one day, feed something different the next....

Ive heard some really love cooked peas, potato ( no salt) A little bit of cooked egg.... Just keep trying, its the best way.. .you would be surprised at what they might find...Took has a deep love for pasta sauce and ketchup ( which she isnt allowed too often) Apples, Toast with no butter, Rich tea biscuits, a little pineapple, tomato, Apple juice, orange juice, natural yoghurt.... the list goes on. Just experiment and watch out for crisps... I dont know anyone who has a bird that doesnt adore them
