    Suddenly quiet?

    Hi there,

I posted previously about a new aviary I was getting. Well I have it now and moved my two 4 year old budgies Joey & Chandler (Joey's a female, Chandler a male) in 3 days ago. However, since the move, they have went exceptionally quiet. Are they just a little unsettled by the move? Or is it possible they really don't like it? I'd find that hard to believe since they appear quite content, are eating their seed and drinking fine and are flying around quite happily. They've always been really noisy which I always have loved to hear but at the moment, not a peep. They've been moulting for a few weeks now though so could it be that? Sorry for all the questions. I just want to make sure I'm not causing them any unhappiness.

    Thanks very much in advance.

    Lynne.

I agree with Dizzy Dezzy...your birds are just getting settled into their new territory...which they will right fully claim in a while.....lol:haha . Most birds are always quiet when they are getting used to a new place. Sky never played with her toys...and stood in one spot most of the time because she was getting used to her new territory.

I agree that they are getting used to their new surroundings. They will be back to normal once they are used to it.

    Hi again,

Thank you for your replies and help. It was very kind of you. They are now chirping away quite happily and are back to the full scale noise that makes watching TV almost impossible!

    Take care,
    Lynne.
