Bugging my birds with the camera
I have a new toy for Pez. It's a cute little bar with a ball on each end, and a heart-shaped bead in the middle, which slides back and forth between the two little balls on the ends. I put it on top of the cage, and let Pez take a look. He wanted to get close to it, but was wary of my being so close, so I stepped back a bit, and he hopped over to it like this :yellowbudgie . He started picking at it. He's too cute! I think he would have played with it more, except that I was hovering over him with the camera, trying to get a good picture of him playing. And of course, whenever you try to get a picture of your birds doing something cute, they stop whatever cute thing they are doing and stare blankly at you. I do the same thing to Mudge - I ask my husband to get a cute picture of me giving Mudge a head scratch, but as soon as we approach with the camera, Mudge gets nervous. Then I don't get a picture, AND I disturb Mudge while he's getting a scratch. Maybe I should just stop harassing my birds with the camera and let them enjoy life!:haha

By the way, in case you are interested, I got the toy from a friend who has a bird toy business: www.rollingtones.com.
