    feather loss

We have a cockatiel that is about 8 years old. He has lost some feathers on his back and chest that are not growing back. Other than his feather loss he is eating and acting normal. Any suggestions or advice? THANKS!

My suggestion is that you take him to a vet ASAP to find out what's wrong.

He is not healthy if he is losing feathers that do not grow back or if he is plucking them out.

Only an avian vet can give you a proper diagnosis.

www.aav.org/vet-lookup to find an avian vet.
