Hello.. new here and trying to decide!

Hi!! I found this forum through a website (which is really) and I have some you could say "choices". You see today I went to the pet store and met a lovely cocktiel who i believe i would be very happy with. The only thing is that I might want a lovebird to. Ive been reading the old site for about an hour and from what i have read, lovebirds seem to have mroe mood swings then cockatiels. So this is my question. Would a person who has owned two budgies int eh part, owns a cat, two guinea pigs, and numerous other animals all in great health be better suited with a cockatiel or a lovebird?

I've never actually owned a lovebird, about the only thing I know about them is that they tend to be very loud! heh heh It sounds like whichever you choose is going to have a great home =) Cockatiels are an awesome bird to have as a pet though. You get a lot of parrot in a small package They also have alot of the great qualities that the larger birds have without all the vices. Personally given the choice I'd go Tiel all the way, but I'm quite biased =)

yeh im quite bias aswel hehe
cockateils can be very VERY loyal birds when trained. they will make every effort to please you. love birds are noisey and (can be) more moody. but i guess the birds are just more hormonal ive have my new teil nearly 2 weeks and hes already trying to impress me. but remember no wo birds are alike so i couldnt say that the teil you would get wont be moody. cos it might be as moody as my 15 year old sister (now thats VERY moody )
but its your choice completly when trained both make exalent pets

Hey everyone! I finally went and purchased a beautiful cockatiel. It is a normal mutation. It has grey wings with a bit of white striped colour on the under part. it has a grey face with orangey -red patches and you can see some yellow coming through. It is said to be 3 to 5 months old and it is really cute. I chose this one because I think it will be easier o go from a budgie to a cockatiel rather then a love bird. Anyway thanks for your biased im kidding but thanks for all your help.
