    How to tell the age?

I'm planning to buy a pair, but they told me that they'r going to give me a matured one "ready to breed". I just want to know how can i tell their age? by looking and observation only. and what are signs that I have to look at and any advices.

A baby lovebird has a black patch at top of the beak, a adult lovebird has no black patch on the beak.

older peachfaced lovebirds will have more vivid colors but it is hard to tell the difference between a 5 year old lovebird and a 15 year old lovebird. If they recieve proper nutrition they can easily live 15 to 20 years my oldest is 12.

www.lovebirdcenter.com I dont think you should be rushing to gather information for next week....i think you should take a while to learn until you feel your ready to buy one..not rush alot of info for a certain time...just an opinion.
