converting from one pellet to another

I have gotten Sky and Flyer to eat the canary sized Zupreem flavored/colored pellets and they are eating them very very well. Then I decided to try to get them on the "natural" pellets and mixed them in the cup.

Sky just waited for the "seed cup" to come to the cage. He's a bit too lazy to dig through all the pellets for the ones he wants.

Well, after Flyer figured out that there were more "colored/flavored" pellets in the bottom of the cup, the flinging commenced!

She flung all of them out all over the floor of the cage to reach the goodness in the bottom. She even flung the ones in the bottom of the cup out until only the flavored ones were left....sigh

I think I need to find the canary sized "natural" ones to try.

Maybe I'll try some of the other varieties as well.

Welcome to the club. You can see my topic in here where my budgies are on strike and flinging pellets everywhere. I'll let you know what works for me when I get it figured out and I'll read what works for you and maybe this can be a cooperative effort across the miles.

LOL! They took one look at the pellets and went . It might help if you crush the new pellets into powder and spwinkle them over the old ones. They won't be able to fling the powder wuite as easily, and they may get used to the flavour so that once you give them the new pellets not crushed up, they won't fling.
