Broken tail feather

I checked past posts on here and found out what to do. I need to clip the feather at the point where it was broken. Thanks.

Hello all. My Spike has a broken tail feather that he absolutely will not let me touch. Should I just leave it alone and see if he pulls it out himself? It's not a blood feather...I've not seen one drop of blood. He has started to moult - there are feathers coming out all day long. He's been doing really great!! When we first got him I was worried about EVERYTHING but now, he's stepping up, wistling and "talking" a bunch and eating just about anything I give him (healthy stuff only, of course). He really loves pasta and veges. Not so crazy about fruit yet. Been trying different things but the fruit is a no-go so far. Also, had his wings clipped (again!) Sunday and the brat can STILL fly more than I'd like him to! What's up with that! He must have some really strong "arms" to flap those wings so darn hard to get him moving!! Thanks for any help on the tail feather.
