    congrats on your new tiel!
its not uncommon for tiels to go through a sulky period after they get their wings cliped. it shouyldent last too long...not more than 3 days. best of luck, and welcome to the board!

    New tiel, very quiet

Our new bird seems unusually quiet since we brought him home on Sunday. Was singing up a storm the first two days we were with him (at sisters house) but since bringing him home, he's very quiet. He is in the same cage, same toys, etc. since we got him but for some reason, he's very quiet. Also, for first two days home, he wasn't shy about coming to us and getting out of cage. Now, he doesn't seem to want anything to do with us!
We haven't done anything different since we brought him home. Am getting worried that maybe he just doesn't like us anymore! He is eating fine so I don't think he's sick. Any ideas what the problem could be? Did get his wings clipped on Monday...maybe thats it? How long do they go through this "funk" when they get their wings clipped?

Squirt was very quiet too when we brought him home, and now he won't stop chattering and whistling! I think it just takes time to get used to a new home
