None too happy with diet change

Because the tiels are on antifungal meds, I'm taking the precaution of forgoing the fruity zupreem for the natural zupreem, roudybush and avian entree garden goodness.

tonight Robin showed me just what he thought about my changes. He was flinging every single Zupreem Natural out onto the cage floor looking for the fruit ones I usually hide on the bottom LOL!

They are really digging into the fresh stuff in the morning and evenings and I'm seeing that they're hanging around the roudybush cups with faces buried. When I put the seed bowls in, after dinner and just before bedtime, they eat for about 3 minutes, then they're done. Still plenty of seed left. I don't think anyone's starving cause I removed the fruity pellets

LOL funny reaction, I wish I could get my tiel to be so open to changing foods... she is rather picky. She is addicted to her fruity zupreem as well, and she's not going to like it now that i'm thinking of switching to harrisons, but its worth it knowing your bird will be healthier in the long run.

I had everyone eating fresh foods first. Birdy bread for breakfast and beak appetit for dinner with chopped veggies mixed in. When they were eating that really well, I went all out to change pellets (went through all of them too. Harrison's, Hagen, Roudybush, Zupreem). I figured if they were eating well, they wouldn't starve switching over to pellets

I also found my brat..er...birds prefer their veggies steamed, thank you very much! LOL they won't touch a raw veggie except grated carrots. Everything else has to be steamed. Sheesh! I cook more for the birds then I do my family!
