    Question When a budgie is breathing.........

    Should you see a budgie's chest moving up and down slowly when they are breathing or no its not normal to see that.......?

    I can see mine breathe.

    Some of mine breathe a lot faster than others. I wouldn't get worried unless they are puffy and you see their tail bobbing with each breath.

    We currently have 19 budgies and if they sit still long enough...we can see them breathing. I'd be concerned if I couldn't see them breathing...

    If the breathing seems labored (like he's gasping for breath or has his mouth open), there may be a problem, otherwise it is normal to see the chest move.
