See the pics of Majors and Wilma's l'il chick

    Hello

I have had Majors a hand fed since summer 2003. He whistles a strange tune that I taught him and likes to sit on my shoulder while I paint, He often grabs the paint brush handle, he also tries to "help" me play guitar by climbing down my arm to pluck the strings himself.

I noticed late last year that was... ahem... making funny noises while, shall we call it "dancing" by himself.

Luckily we found his mate, Wilma. She is somewhat timid but friendly. She does tend to scream at times.

It took the two of them less than a week to unite. I started reading all I could find on tiels, and soon constructed them a large cage with an adjacent apartment/nest box.

They had three, of which only one hatched. Sadly, Olive the baby died just 2 days after we named him/her. It was only 26 days old.

I hope you go to see the pics.

It my resolve to help the birds have a happy healthy life both in and out of the cage.

Awl!!! Poor baby Olive... maybe you will have better luck in the future. Did you have a necropsy done to see what was wrong?

    Pandora,
I'm new to cockatiels mating. I did a lot of things, unknowingly, in reverse order. I need to get an Avian vet for the future.

Thanks for the compliments about my art :-)

They are somewhat common. There are a plethora of "designer" poodle half breeds. Ours is the mini-poodle/mini-schnauzer version.

there is also the Labradoodle, the Maltipoo, Yorkipoo, Shepadoodle a German shepherd-standard poodle mix

too many to list... I found a list at
    http://www.puppydogweb.com/designerdogs.htm
    the names are pretty amusing.
