    Mimi goes around eating poop...

    What is up with this i see her every once in a while digging her beak into poop and it seems shes eating it but why ??....someone please help because i am sure this is not healty at all.. HELP !!

    Im trying to clean as much as a i can but why does she do this??

    Cockatiels are groundfeeders and almost all birds tend to go through their poop. That's why it's a good idea to a) keep the cage clean regularly and b) have a grate on the bottom so they cannot get through to their droppings and dropped food (which lands in their droppings).

    Eating their poop is a sign that something is lacking in the bird's diet, I'd look at everything she eats and make sure she gets a good mix of seed, fruit and veg.

    hi

    hey guys, i took the seeds and millets out of the cage and i made them pancakes with brocolli, carots, egg shells, and green peppers. I crumbled the pancake and placed it in the cage but they seem a little scare of it, i hope they eat it !
