I can take NO credit for my babies' colors.

We decided to introduce Kudzu/Ringo to the flock. Beau just went nuts trying to get to him so we put him with Kudzu last night. Beau who has been not at all friendly with our girls just immediately took to Kudzu.

I know some folks will tell me about quarantine..and yes I know about quarantine and I think it is necessary. 4 of our 5 birds have come from the same place and we've never had any problems. So please dont flame me on here for putting them together. You all should know by my posts about medical care for budgies if I thought there were a true risk I wouldnt have done it. I wont answer any posts that flame me.

Anyhow to the good stuff. My husband and I think Beau remembers Kudzu from the store. They came from the same store, are about the same age. Maybe they are from the same clutch..but at the very least they remember each other. I can tell how they immediately preened each other and acted like friends...

Here are the photos of this evening. I took these after I came from from visiting a friend (who has two of the cutest budgies in the world and a wonderful new cockatiel. I met her on here..her username is Wolfysluv and so I have someone local to bond with over birds!! )

I got Kudzu because I thought I needed more green on my flock...lol but by these photos Meadhead's blue seems out of place.

Since I have two medium cages it is two birds in each cage and then I guess playtimes together on the house shaped cage since my birds seem to love playing on it for some reason. I think I will keep it even when the new cage comes.

One reason I like the name Ringo is because for one my husband and I are Beatles fans. I also looked up Ringo on babynames.com and it means "Apple" in Japanese and to me Kudzu looks like a green apple. UGH decisions!! I am liking Ringo more and more...because this new guy LOVES to sing. He sang pretty in the car the whole way home and sang this afternoon. Ringo seems more fitting to his personality. I am just beaming here..my babies are all so wonderful

I love all your pictures, but the one that really struck me was Kudzu preening Beau and Kinsey breaking them up. LOL!! It's so similar to Aster and Sprite being friendly to each other and Snowdrop breaking them up. Don't we just adore our scary boss ladies?

I LOOOOOVE big babies!! Kudzu is just too cute~~!! Makes mre remember baby Aster, who was bigger than Snowdrop (who is at least 7 months his senior) when I first brought him home.

Kinsey always has been a bossy little lady. When Meadow goes to visit Abbu, Kinsey peaks Meadow when she comes back...almost like she is punishing Meadow for socializing with another bird or something.

heehee...kinsey has her eyes closed in almost all the photos as if to say, yeah whatever! but when she's quick as a blink to go interpose herself 'tween the newbies!! hilarious. Meadow looks a bit left out...and Abbu looks REALLY left out waaayyy over there on his playtop. Kinsey really looks like my late Ernie. Same body habitus and build and everything. Ernie always looked so "buff" and strong, like Kinsey. The newest newbie is a big dude! Ok...Ringo sounds better and better too!!! Esp if he sings. Who can beat that.

I can only hope Kinza and Miss Kentucky will bond as nicely! I love the first meeting... it's so sweet! The colours are beautiful... and Meadow's blue doesn't look out of place it makes her stand out! I like Kudzu and Ringo... so I'll allow eithor LOL! just joking!! You've got some very beautiful/handsome birds... I love how they are ALL so unique!

Awwwe!! Puppy...I mean birdie love!! Don't teel any of your other birds, but I like Kinsey the best!! Give her some extra kisses for me!! The second best... I can't decide! They are all too cute and have such great personalities! You have great taste in bird names and birds!! I feel sorry for Abbu way over there! Looks a bit jealous to me!!

Beau just follows Kudzu around and whines for his head to be preened! lol.

Kudzu is so laid back. He perched on my finger for a while today and ate millet. He is just such a bulky boy!

Oooh... Kudzu may be starting to be my favorite! I love laid back birds. When I get a bird, I get one that is just sitting there... doing nothing. That must be how I got my birds trained so quickly.
