So while studying the other week, I had the pleasure of a bowl of brain food (m&ms) which was sitting on the coffee table.
Picard was running around, over the couch, floor etc as she does when she is out.
I was so engrossed in the study that I did not see that Picard had made her way down my leg and over to the coffee table, all of a sudden i heard this noise that is kinda hard to discribe, (imagine a cockatiel falling into a bowl of m&ms, and you've pretty much got the noise!)

I look up and there is Picard sitting in the middle of my bowl of m&ms looking rather pleased with herself. Her little head was cocked to the side and she was paddling her feet.

Now I am sure you have all heard of or have seen those playpens for children, that are filled with the bright coloured balls, you put the children in and they play to their hearts content, right, got that picture in your head?

That is what picard looked like.

Now before you all get alarmed there was no consumption off m&ms by Picard, I got her outta that chocolately death trap right away!!
Though she was rather mad at me for taking away her newly found 'playpen' i sware her expression was

A quick wash of ones little feet and she was good to continue the playing minus the m&ms!!!

How funny! Too bad there isnt a pic to go with it but I can just picture it! Tiels always look pretty proud of themselves when they do stupid things! lol I am sure Picard did look just like a kid in one of those colored ball playpens!

hee hee! i wanted my caique to have a "ball pit" so i found these and put them in the bottom of her cage. she chases them and stuff. when we move, i'm gonna get a baby playpen for her as a ball pit & play area (she loves being on flat surfaces)

Ooh Dani! Cool idea! My baby tiels would LOVE that! Well.. a variation of that. They like those lil cat balls with the jingles inside but its not scary for them because they can't get to the jingle bells. They roll em ALL over the bottom of the cage! But.. yah.. those lil balls you get things in in the .25 and 50 cent machines! Awesome idea!

Thats funny. Perry, my conure, looks embarassed when he does something that doesn't turn out as planned. He scrunches his shoulders up and tucks his head down and stalks off, dragging his tail. I try to act like I didn't see a thing. Good for you that you got to laugh out loud.
