    shower perch

    Hi!
i'm sorry i dont get to dont post often but i just wanted to share my excitement over my shower experiance with freddie this morning! I have been taking him in with me and because he trusts me and is so bonded to me he would tolerate it. I finally found a shower perch locally and let me tell you; he loved it!!!! he opened his wings and put his head down, and i am so thrilled. Everytime he did, i would say good boy isnt this fun and he would look at me and open his wings. He got a good soaking! I honestly dont know who enjoyed it more him or me!!!! hahaha I credit my wonderful bond i have with my bird to tail feathers for all the helpful tips i have gotten thank you so much

Tali showers with me and loves it. He got really soaked last time cause he streached out his wings and reached for it a few times.

Does everyone use a shower perch for their birds? LaLa does't even like being misted, I don't know if he'll go for a shower. Should I just turn on the water and bring them close to the spray and see if they extend their wings?

Sweet - you are so lucky that Freddie enjoys showering!

Mine hides behind my neck so I only mist them.

But I must say, Dani, I like those pics with the normal shower-caddie acting as bird-perch... perhaps I should try something similar. I'd love them to shower with me!

Again, does everyone use a shower perch? How do you all handle your birds in the shower?

    Re: shower perch

I don't use a shower perch but have thought about getting one or making one myself. I let my birds go on the towel bar inside my shower, neither is real big on it. Figure in time they may enjoy.

I have also thought about buying one of those Misty Mate bird baths to use in the shower. Does anyone have or use one of those?

    Re: shower perch

My amazon showers with me all the time, she's still getting used to it, but she actually seems to like the time with me even if it involves getting in the shower LOL.

My conures love to be misted and spread their wings right out.

My greys react to water like I am spraying acid on them....ohhh do they scream!! But they still get a shower whether they like it or not LOL.
