    Birdy Bread

I went shopping today, and bought all the ingredients to make the Birdie bread on Dani's (squawk & howl) website. I have a pan that makes tiny muffins, I think they will be the perfect size. I'll let everyone know how Corkey & Felix like them.

Are there non non-stick mini muffin tins? We have a muffin pan, but it's made of stone. I've never seen mini ones...

Here is what mine looks like. You can buy them at walmart, or any kitchen store, ebay, etc. It is non-stick, and it really is, lol.

Amanda where did you find the recipe -- I clicked on Squawk and Howl store but didn't see recipes. Saw a whole bunch of neat toys and things that I know my birds would love!

    Re: Birdy Bread

I found it on the homepage under "other services and pages" and it will say Bird recipes, and there are some good ones!

    Mega Bird Muffins

While there are some great organic instant mixes on the market out there for birdie bread, sometimes, it's fun to experiment.

    1 c whole wheat flour
1 c Harrison's Mash (or pellets that have been broken up into powder form with a rolling pin or food processor)
    2 eggs, with crushed shell
1 c Minced vegetables and fruits of choice
1 T aluminum free baking powder
up to 1 c liquid of choice: Veggie broth (preferably organic), chicken broth (preferably organic & free range), carrot juice, or water
    1/2 c seed, for topping

sift flour, pellet mash, & baking powder together in large bowl.
    add eggs, incorporate.
    add veggies/fruits, incorporate.
add liquid until moist but not runny. should be a thick biscuit like texture.
put in pan of choice- i prefer muffins, but a loaf pan would work. sprinkle seed on top before baking.
bake in a 375 oven for up to 30 minutes- remove when a skewer comes out the muffin clean- nothing sticks to it.
RECIPE CAME FROM DANI'S WEBSITE (Squawk and Howl)
