Red face Will A male mate with more then one Female

I have a bonded pair that are raising 2 babies right now but I always let my birds out of cage when I am. Home today I noticed Daddy making mating moves toward my other female. Was he just being friendly or does he plan on stepping out with 2 babies in the nest???

He certainly will breed with the other females but most likely do just that and leave her alone with the new eggs which she will soon abandon because she needs a mate to help her sit on them. I have had this happen and the male just mated with the other girl but stayed with his mate.

just to add that my hen sat on her eggs and raised the chicks to 3 weeks old by herself without the male, so it is possible to have a hen rear singulalry.
but note that at 3 weeks old she has abandoned them and we are hand rearing.

The 2 haven't mated. Mr Tiel is still feeding his babies with Mrs Tiel. He just made mating motions toward Chrissy. Since I now know he may try to mate I will make sure he doesn't have the chance.
