It looks awesome!!! I'd love to have an aviary like that. What kind of wire did you use? Is it heated?

Oh, I am so glad this is coming to a conclusion. That aviary is so awesome looking and will look just as awesome once the birds occupy it! Congrats on all the progress, thus far!!!

Re: Aviary pic one more day and its done!

The wood is stained (using a safe stain) a redish colour, the garden/small field a total mess but the poppys look nice lol.
It's not heated we have mild winters here I have to weather the birds first over the next few weeks to get them used to living out doors. It will be trial and error to see who gets to live in it, but there is enough space to make a mini aviary inside it again but we'll see how things go, hubby needs some time to revcover from this one. He's just hung the doors today, has grouted the patio slabs with cement and is filling in a few gaps here and there, hopefully he will be putting the locks on the doors tonight but it's getting dark he may have to do that tomorow. So that plus just a bit of tidying up and one or two things to screw in tomorow and the birds will have a test run tomorow if it kills me it will be finished. The wire used is 1/4 inch galvanised aviary wire. can't remember the guage but it's the strongest we could get think it was 19 guage

    Here's the lads

Was just a short session for today it was a bit overwhelming for them but htye soon relaxed.
    Bouli

    Tutter

Rocky under a lovely big rain cloud..it's supposed to be summer lol

Now before anyone says cockatiel and budgies shouldn't be housed together there are so many people with conflicting advice on the matter that I am testing the waters myself if they don't get on they won't be kept together of course and will be keeping a close eye on them.

Tomorow as long as it's not raining they will go out for longer.

I re measured it and the flight is just over 12 feet long and 7 and a bit feet wide and just over 6 feet high so lots of room to experiment. I need to add a lot more perches and toys tomorow.

What wonderful pictures. They all seem pretty happy and it is wonderful that they will soon be living in this wonderful new home you built. Well done!
