Beautiful cage. Thanks for getting him a new one. Lots of people ignore our advice, and kudos to you for knowing whats best for your baby! I would love to see more pics of this little darling!

Re: new sun conure owner
Whata cutie, I love the suns, like birds with adhd, funny lil guys

I looked at all the caged animals in the shelter... the cast-offs of human society
I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and betrayal.
And I was Angry.
"God," I said, "this is terrible! Why don't you do something?"
God was silent for a moment and the He spoke softly.
"I have done something," He replied.
"I created You."

Re: new sun conure owner
congratulations! he loves you! Birds regurgitate when they've bonded to another bird/their mate/their babies/their favorite human (to share their food, so to speak). I would be careful now, however, not to further stimulate many more breeding hormones in the bird (breeding mode can bring with it a number of behavior issues such as aggression towards others). It's a delicate balance! It's good that he regurgitated because it shows he's bonded to you, but be careful not to send messages to the bird that it's breeding time! I'd look up breeding behaviors and make sure you're not doing any behaviors that may send your bird the message that it's time to mate.

Re: new sun conure owner
If you constantly play with him and show him that it is ok to bond to you now he will bond to you. When I got my sun I also had a green cheek and my bf had a cockatiel and paraqeet. When first introduced they were great together then my sun started understanding where his cage was and if we were to put the other birds on top of his cage with him he got a bit protective of his home. When placed in a mutual are or a cage that wasnt his, they got along great. They will get along but maybe put them in a mutual place, not individual cages. And finally the only time I notice my sun being a little more nippy is when he is hungry. They are playful and as babies they wont be able to know the difference between biting and playing. You have to set those boundries of what you will accept while he is exploring with his beak when you first get him. My GCC was much much more nippy. These guys are more playful and just simply have bigger beaks. Now that being said, my sun loves to sit on my finger and try to get my finger nail which is a bit nippy but he is not beaking with the intention to hurt, he is playing.
