Help w/Zebra Finch

I have 4 Zebra Finches, 2 males, 2 females. The males are going on 1 year, and I have no idea how old females are. They are all caged together and paired off long ago. For the past 3 1/2 days the one female constantly vocalizes - softly; slightly open mouth breathing although does not appear to be in distress - she is eating and sleeping (although still vocalizing) in her nest with her mate; bathing, etc. What might be wrong? Vent appears to be clear and droppings normal, but I'm nervous something is wrong. Help!

They ussually do that when they are defending something or just in a small fight. Its almost like hissing. I don't know ANYTHING about finches though so don't trust me but my friend breeds them he has 15 in a cage and thats what they do they are in an avairy (small) one. With nest and the females chase other females away from the nest like that with thier mouth open....

My girly bird did that when the late Wirenth came too close. (another girl) So I go along wth the defence idea. But maybe she just got a bit of water in her nose? Is she hanging out in the nest more? Is her rear looking bulgy? She might be getting close to laying and have the bird version of baby hormones going on. Good luck.
