lol ok dont laugh at me here, because im like mutation retarded, but couldnt it be a lutino since lutinos have red eyes too....wait a sec it has no sign of yellow i dont think so nvm that was really dumb question. do you know what tehr est will be? or is it like impossible to determine it ebfore they are hatched.

With most chicks, other than the general statement of what the parents CAN produce, you can't tell specifically what the babies will be till they start feathering up. Mumble is a albino rather than lutino as both parents are blue series birds.

That Female is a beautiful Opaline, I hope all goes well with your baby budgies. I wish I had an Opaline like that.

    Good Luck

Size difference is pretty easily noticable.

They are very pretty babies and look very healthy. The parents are obviously doing a good job.
Do you know if the last 2 eggs are fertile?

Re: Breeding Journal: Spongebob and Akala

Here's some photos of the lovely little family. Newest baby Noah is barely visible under his 3 bigger siblings but he's been fed and seems to be just as strong as the others. When i first looked into the nest box after coming home from a driving lesson with dad i freaked cause there was dark stuff in their crops and then i realised i'd just fed the parents this massive piece of bok choy, lol! Spongebob's been a good dad eating up the soft food to feed his family. As well as eating seed for 6 now, wow! There is a little bit of fluff starting to sprout on the butts of Mumble and Memphis. And they've also got little eye slits showing so i think pretty soon they'll be looking around with cute little baby eyes.

Why do you always look at my babies? I don't like it!

    Get out of here!!

I'll call my husband to deal with you!

And then they started feeding the weenies so i left them alone.

I love having little baby budgies again. They're so sweet, everynight i go to sleep with the little cheeping sound of baby budgies in the room. I love it!

all the best for the other 2 eggs if they both do hatch are u going to take to 2 older ones for hand feeding because it might be abit to much on the parents.

No, i don't like to handrear unless it's absolutely necessary, i've only had to do it once before. I'm confident that the parents can take care of the five if the last egg hatches. They're managing perfectly with 4.
