They are adorable! Beeper's got some 'birds of a feather' friends.

Can you actually tame finches!?! How would you handfeed them! They are so small!

How cute! I doubt they will stay tame though since they live together. Good luck with them!

Re: Tame Zebra finches (pics)
They're darling. I love little birds curled into my fingers. Out of curiosity, what utensil did you use to hand feed your finches? I use a spoon with my smaller birds, but with the finches, I've been wondering if I should use a curved tip syringe, or one of those baby "spoons" that are shaped like pacifiers.

I use pipettes. Spoons will drown and kill a finch. The curved syringes will work for an older baby.

I didn't raise the finches myself - they came from here:

Absolutely wonderful lady. She did mention what a challenge it was.
So far the finches seem to be doing quite well. The only curiosity is that they seem to dislike the longer, large cage I wanted to use for them. They sat in the corner huddling and scared, and so I rigged up a smaller, cube shaped cage that was white instead of black. I still don't know if it was the size, shape, or color. I'm new to finches, so if anyone has any ideas...
