Leg Band

I very recently lost my beloved Ocean. We originally got him from a pet store that has since closed. Ocean had a band on his leg, and I am wondering if there is a way that I can trace it to find the breeder. I would like to get another budgie after we have recovered from loosing Ocean. His band is burgundy/red with the number 67 AAC (sideways) DBT and 03 (the year he was born?)

I believe 'DBT' is the named of his breeder/aviary. Or 'AAC'. '03 should be the year he was born.

If you're in Ontario, you can contact the Hamilton Budgerigar Society. They may be able to tell you who the breeder is. If you're outside of Ontario, look for a similar budgie society in your province. They usually know who's who.
