Adventure Pack Parrot Travel Bird Cage?????

ive been looking for a travel bird cage and also one to use on the deck when we are outside so Chico can join us i found this on a parrot /conure site its a cage inside a backpack then you can take it out and use the cage alone it has perches dishes ect in it also mosquito netting very cool !!!!! any one have one???

I was going to buy one for Beetle for Christmas

but everyone was sold out in anticipation of the 2007 model

Which was a shame, b/c some sites had the original Adventure Pack listed at a really good price

My only concern was washing the fabric of the holder. I believe it can only be spot cleaned by hand, so if you're conure is a poo-flinger, you'll want to take that into consideration.

I really like the idea of the pack, though. The carriers that you carry in front of you, like a Baby Bjorn, look awkward to me. And while I can't think of a reason to carry my wee lovie around on my back like a knapsack full of school books, I thought that the Adventure Back would be a nice thing to have for travel and such. The cage would be suitable for a few nights for most small parrots IMHO.

I hope that you get some more feedback as I'm interested in them as well.

Joy, I have one of the older models (they enlarged them somewhat) and I use it for all my birds (we take turns for now). The cage is very light and very strong. I did replace the silly little plastic perch that came with it; only problem being is I used a rope perch and it sticks out on the sides when the cover goes over.

The cover is great - very strong. I also like the pocket on top for carrying other essentials (water, food & treats, and a small towel). You won't be disappointed.

Each of my boys have a great travel cage for overnight trips, but I'd like to get a little carrier like this for short trips to the park, etc. Let me know how you like yours, Joy!
