Hehe, cute! BOTH of my conures do the same thing, but they use various toys to do the job. It's sooo adorable! Louie has these plastic balls with jingles (safe ones, don't worry! lol) in the middle. He'll rip off an edge and then use the broken ball to itch his head! It's adorable. Parrots are soooo smart!

Not really along the lines of scratching, but both of my big girls can become contortionist if it will get them in a posititon where a perch or a heavy toy will sit on their backs like an imaginary boyfriend. The Too really is good at this. I've grown tired of rearranging their stuff to try and avoid this. I think I will invent the birdy strap on buddy for frustrated and love lorn parrots.
