sick birdy- should I stop the switch?

I just started trying to switch my bird over to pellets, but since he's ill, should I just stop for now and give him his seed mix till he's better?

I sure am posting a lot of questions today

    Thanks again,

    Tildy

I would stop the switch. He needs what nutrition he can actually get from seeds rather then the no nutition of not eating. And a big diet switch is pretty stressful.
Ooh, I forgot millet! Great stuff. Millet spray is great for Bella when she is stressed. Sure, it's the same thing as in her treat dish, but she goes nuts for the stuff. Must be the foraging aspect?

I agree, if he is ill let him eat what he normally would eat until he gets better again. If he dont want to eat seed that you give him try millet, it really is good for sick little birds since it is easy for them to digest but not too great for them but it is what my lovie eats when he not feeling well.

Thanks guys, I figured I should stick with the seed. That'll definately make him happier, he's ony snubbed the pellets so far anyway. The vet gave me some powdered vitamins to put on my birds food but i wonder if theres a point, seeing how they hull the seeds and all..
