converting tips?
well there is a certain conversion method i have a question about.
have you heard of the method where you put your bird in a box with a mirror or white paper?
well Marley isnt clipped and i was wondering if this would stress him and he could fly out out and hurt his self?
thanks

Hmm. I haven't heard of it, but I think it would be scary to a bird.
If you are trying to convert your bird's diets over to include pellets, here is an article that discusses how to do so:

You can try putting a small mirror behind a cup filled with pellets, as some birds think that they are seeing another bird eating when they are eating.
Most important thing to keep in mind is to convert slowly. It would be wise to purchase a digital scale (available at Office Depot) and weigh your bird at least a few times per week while converting to keep track of any weight changes.

Re: converting tips?
thanks i wasnt going to try to put him in a box, because i would have towel him in there any way.
if i did get a gram scale he wouldnt go on it there would be no way of getting to stay on there while getting an accurate weight
thanks for the info !

You know I also saw that method mentioned on one of the sites and it sounds bizarre, but it says it works nearly 100% of the time.

I think you're right. I'm so new to all this I'm limited on the amount of resources I use and that's an important site for me. Very infomative. I'll try to find it again.
