Bob the Turtle!

My dad was cutting the grass and almost ran over a baby turtle, so he gave him to me. I gave him a little bit of veggies and bugs to eat and decided it was best to let him back out to the creek, instead of keeping him. I quick named him Bob!

You have made Bob a very happy turtle. "He" is a very cute red-ear slider. Judging by the short claws in front, Bob is probably a female.

aww i love little painted turtles. i used to see them all the time when i lived back east. they are such friendly little guys.

Nice job on the save/release! I rescued an eastern painted crossing the road recently, and I'll probably release it this weekend. I love their colors. Wish I could add one to the collection, but I don't have room for any more turtles right now.
