    'Desk Gym'

I have been wanting to make a PVC gym for a while, and I just so happen to have Friday off of school. I spend a lot of time on my computer and doing homework with Alex playing on my desk. So, I was thinking about making a gym as an extension to my desck. Has anyone attempted this before? Did it turn out well?

i'm going to be scetching ideas and bringing it up to my mom tonight. Any help anyone could give would be amazing.

Also, what is a good size for an Alex? Is there a size that could be used for the 'teils too?

    Thanks.

I would say anything that would fit. As in the post about Len's playgym, you work on them for hours trying ot make them just right, but they will probably like it either way. As long as they have some toys and such. Mo just walks around my desk chewing on all of my daughters school notes. LoL! Sometimes I will put a couple cheerios or something like that for him to eat and play around with. He really seems to have become quite fond of my desk these days!!

i can't speak from the same angle i dont think i will ever need a playgym on my desk! flannigan cant stop playing with my pens and pencils, once she went up the printer! lol there was this one time that i was drawing her, and she picked up a pencil from the back so the point was on the paper and she managed to make a little squiggle lol wish i video'd that. but i think it would be great for us to share our designs, i might need one lol.

lol. I just want him to be able to play on my desk without having to try to climb and break my monitor. I have toys out for him to play with, but if it looks large and expensive, he will ignore the toys. lol.

My mom said that when she has the money, I canprobably start working on it. It may be a few weeks though. :-( Ohh well, more time to plan.

    Re: 'Desk Gym'

the best idea would be to make your own. ALL the gyms on the market are priced way over they're worth. So i say you make your own from PVC pipe, or even cheaper and probably better, BAMBOO its perfect and long lasting. Get some sisal or cotton rope, shouldn't be too hard and string up your own little gym. (for a hanging one et-least)

For a desk gym i think that PVC with vet wrap or just Bamboo, (too easy to find in Hong Kong for me lol) so with a drill you can make holes to insert the PVC or bamboo into each other, and making a basic stand shape you can then build on it and put more on, make stands and then put on ladders and swings and toys for your bird to enjoy.

But Franky that is an incredibly good idea, should have thought of it
