Tyler likes her new coconut swing

I've been looking for a coconut swing "forever" it seems for Perry & Tyler with not much luck. I finally found some at the Parrot Conference a couple of weeks ago. So, I thought HURRAY! Finally I can get a coconut swing for Tyler and Perry. I had to get 2 actually, because Cosmo wasn't gonna let me buy one and her not be allowed to play with it!

Anyhoo, the swing for Perry and Tyler has been sitting in there cage, unused... untouched...

I put some sunflower seeds in it, and nothing.

I put some millet in it, and came home from work the other day, and there was Tyler! On the coconut swing, enjoying not only the millet, but the sunflowers too as Perry (chicken as usual!) watched on. LOL

Tyler's been using the coconut swing since, but Perry still hasn't.

Here's a pic (it was hard to get a good one since Tyler was on the other side of the coconut, but you get the idea)...

Mary, Cosmo, Kaylaur, Perry & Tyler, and Spaz (temporary foster). And we can't forget the furry kids Pepper & Chewy!

HOW CUTE! Chipper loves her coconut swing and her tiki hut. They are great for swinging and foraging! Is Perry chewing the rope on that toy? Chipper loves to do that. Sweet fids in that cute picture.

Thanks everybody! Yes Sally, Perry enjoys chewing on the rope toys. He doesn't enjoy/do much (it appears), but he does like the hanging toys, as well as bickering with Tyler. LOL (I think he's jealous that she has more of a zest for adventure then he does )

LOL Heather! Millet is what also got Tyler to investigate the happy hut (same pic above) and now she'll use it like a tunnel sometimes. Millet... works miracles!

Sarah, taming is NOT coming along at all. They just don't like me getting near them at all. And neither one (not even Tyler) has ANY interest in coming out of their cage at all. I am trying to figure out how I might be able to use millet to entice at the very least Tyler to come out. But the cage is kinda weird and I don't know how to do it yet. I will eventually figure something out, that may work. In the meantime, they seem happy enough.

these pictures are soooooo cute. i want a swing for my lovie lol

if you can get hold of it the one thing i've found to work better than white millet is Red millet. it's usually called foxtail or fire millet. it's sweeter than the white, grows in slightly thicker strands and is apparently more nutrious which is why i bought it. but i've offered it to birds who dont care for normal white millet (yes they do exist) and they'll do ANYTHNG for the red lol
