    Coughing?

Yesterday I noticed a few times that Missy seemed to ber coughing, or panting or something. But then she was acting normal and seemed fine, so I thought maybe she was just trying to swallow or something. Then this morning when I woke up, she was doing it again. My Mum thought she might have been distressed from being alone in her cage all night because when I let her out she was flapping her wings like crazy. Then she started being normal again.
Could this be something medical we should get checked, or is it normal?

It's not normal but it doesn't necessarily mean an emergency visit to your avian vet. She may have swallowed something that went down the wrong "pipe." Is she stretching her neck with her beak open and possibly shaking her head? Is she spitting anything out?

If she's eating and drinking like nomal, and if her poops look okay, keep an eye on her. If she continues that behavior over the next 24 hours, then yes, a vet visit would be in order.

She seemed to be stretching her neck a little bit. But her poo is fine, and she is eating and drinking fine. Thanks, I'll keep an eye on her.

Update- she seems to only make this noise when she's scared or being a brat, so I think it's a personality thing and not a health thing. Merry Christmas everyone
