    Unhappy Abnormal Feathers

I'm noticing some odd feathers on Lucky and wondered if anyone could give some input.

Months ago, I noticed a feather on his wing that had never unfurled. It was just a long stick, basically, and you could see the soft parts spiraled around the shaft. It fell out during a molt and I felt it; the whole thing was hard, stiff, and felt like plastic. The vet told me it probably got damaged when it was growing in, and not to worry.

Well lately I've noticed a few more on him, mostly on his wings. Because he's had so many other health problems, this concerns me. I'm not sure if this really is just feather damage, diet-related, or if it could signify a larger problem. In the past, he has had an overgrown beak and nails and right now is battling an inflamed testicle/cancer (we're not sure which).

Also he has fallen ill again (seems his medicine is not working). Unfortunately, Tropical Storm Fay is overhead right now and I can't get to the vet for a few more days.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

I know no one has replied to this because I've been keeping an eye on it. I'm sorry I can't offer anything. I'm really curious, though. Any new developments? Have you been able to get to the vet?

I have no idea... that is odd. I hope he is doing alright.
