I have to go check up on little Monet's age... the time has gone by so quickly I can't remember her adoption date. But, she is well over a year old now, and still has a dark little beak. I've never really noticed this in other 'tiels, is it normal, or signs of something else?

I'm still not very good at capturing flight/motion pictures... a pity, because they are so pretty in flight!!

I found a very friendly little pied guy for sale the other week... I wasn't looking for another cockatiel but I guess they have a habit of finding you once you know and love them. He screched for me to come back when I left the room - It took all my willpower to not have a fourth 'tiel! He was so friendly though I'm sure somebody will snap him up in a jiffy

Thats normal, same thing as white and black toe nails.

Cheryl, I think Monet is a girl but I'm not certain. Haven't got confirmation on their genders yet!
Glad to know that is normal though... dad seemed to think the dark colouration was supposed to go away as she aged.

Very cute tiels!!! my Chi Chi is a pied and he actually has a stripe in his beak that he has had since a baby, five years old now... so it is normal for pieds to have different colored beaks
