    About selling baby cockatiels.

Ok, This monday they will hit 2 months old. I was wondering how much I could sell each baby cockatiel for.
Also can anyone give me some suggestions on how to sell them? Any tips or suggestions for me.

If I were you I would keep all of them... Sorry can't help it. I would check and see how much they go for at the pet stores in the area and give that price a try.

Would be more worried about a good home then price. Do you know any good people that would like them? If I could find a great home, would sell them cheap or even give them away. If I could not fine the good home, would not sell them for any price.

Jess I would not sell them at the same price your local petstore sells them for. If you do that you won't sell them . The cockatiels here in Chicago go for $140-almost $200 hundred dollars a piece and some of them sit there and sit there eventually they go- if they are even really sold at that point after sitting for so long. I would sell them cheap- under $100 probably about $50. Your main concern should be and always be that they go to a forever home.

I personally would have a set price, but then when the potential families show that they are good possible homes, I would lower the price. Always ask lots of questions and find out what kind of home they would potentially be going to. Even though I breed and sell my birds by their mutation and sex, I always make sure they go to a good home.

i know here in our local pet stores they sell for about 150.00...although we got charlie our male for 60.00 he was on sale. i agree with Keith, keep it under the pet stores. you could try posting a listing on craigslist or something. just be VERY careful. or a classified in your local newspaper.

Like what questions do you think I could ask? Apart from them being able to afford for the bird's vet bills, cage, etc.

Also I have a totally random question guys:

Why do some cockatiels use their feet to eat and munch on things while others dont? Because I know that I've never seen my cockatiels do that.

As for selling them, I agree, I would go with a lower price to a home you know will take care of them.

Now that you mention it I have never seen any of my cockatiels with their feet either.

    Re: About selling baby cockatiels.

Those are beautiful birds do not let them go for less then $80.00. Mine go from $80.00 - $100.00 depending on Quality.

Its uncommon for Cockatiels to use their feet to eat but I have one out of the whole flock that does it regulary, thats Pheobe my Golden Pearl Pied. Using the feet to eat is more of a parrot thing...
