First moult?
My baby is experiencing her first moult...and, well, she doesn't seem happy about it!
She's scratching a lot, to the point that I think she may have hurt her head/neck area from doing it so much...I tried to get a better look, but she gets mad if I try to touch her head on that side. She still lets me touch the other side though.
I'm guessing the scratching is normal, since she's been to the vet recently and is perfectly healthy? Plus, I know my budgie tends to be more itchy when he's moulting...
Anyway, is there anything I can do to make her more comfortable? Anything else I should know?

Re: First moult?
Having them bathe tends to make them more comfortable. Usually birds will bathe themselves in a shallow dish or special bath you can attach to the cage. If your bird doesn't like that, you could try using a spray bottle (use the mist, some birds prefer the water to fall down on them rather than being sprayed directly).
My vet recommended a product called 'Bird rain' (http://www.exoticdvm.com/index.cfm?f...entGroup_id=5&). Basically I spray my birdy until he's all wet and then I spray him with this (I try to avoid his eyes). Then you can just leave it on him. It makes him less itchy and there is less dander floating around.

Ok, I'll try that! Thanks!
