suddenly biting?
as of a couple weeks ago, my bird Baby started biting me when i try to pet him or give him scritches. He still wants to be picked up all the time, he just is over being petted i guess. He used to love being pet, cuddled, and scratched by me... Is this hormones, a phase, or should I just accept that he doesn't like being pet anymore?

Re: suddenly biting?
By the way, he just got done with his adult molt a month or so ago...his adult tailfeathers are actually still coming in, as he still has a striped feather or two left.

Re: suddenly biting?
He could just be a bit grumpy right now, and growing feathers is itchy and uncomfortable. Wait and see if he stops.
Hope he does!

Re: suddenly biting?
Birds don't really ever stop moulting entirely, there's just a point or two throughout the year that they have a "big moult". That way they never lose flight in the wild, if a slower-over-time process
That being said, it's very likely he's not quite "done" moulting and he's just tender. Mine get moody and don't like being scritched as much at those times too, completely normal
