Zebra Finch babies stay with parents?
I know I've read about this before but I can't find it, but I'm wondering, once the finch babies are weaned and on their own, do I move them to a cage of their own and separate males/females so they don't mate since they are from the same clutch, or does that matter?

Yes, you would have to seperate them. Once they are weaned the parents normally pick on them to get them out of their territory, and that can end very badly; And siblings will mate with one another so they would need to be seperated too or at least don't provide nesting opportunities/take eggs out.

Okay, that's what I was thinking I had read, but I couldn't find it again and was not sure. Thank you so much!

When I take the babies out of the aviary until they are bigger, I was thinking about maybe putting them in stackable flight cages, separating male and female....what kind of cage would you all recommend that doesn't take up a lot of room and not overly expensive, but still gives them the room they need? I've seen several online, but thought I'd check here to see what you think. Thanks!

Okay, that's exactly what I was looking for, something that I can stack. As far as decor to go with the house, that's not that important to me. They will be in the office where I spend most of my time, so stacking would be ideal. Thanks so much!!
