Re: new cage!!!!!!!, and two babies to their home,

we had six this time, four in the last clutch and the hen layed eggs right on the babys this time, so im trying to figure out what to do, three in a row isnt good, ????? thier a good pair but the hen gets mean for abut a week when the chix leave the nest, i thought moving the box and chix and eggs to a new cage would get her to abandon them, but no luck,
and thanks all the birds love the cage and stay in and play with the door open,

Very nice birds -- it sounds like the hen needs a break from breeding though

Re: new cage!!!!!!!, and two babies to their home,

i agree and me to on the breeding thing, i just cliped and sent 4 kids to their new homes, and the 2 youngest still fly some, and kreacher is moulting, and i didnt let him fly much , hes from the last clutch, i told him he could fly with the babies before i clipped him again, i studied some more, and i guess i need to let her lay the clutch, then we decide, even kreacher helped feed the babys when they started to poke out of the nest this time, and is like the surroget dad to them now, i dont want health issues , punkin is young, i think, between 2 and 3, im thinking beaker is older, his beak needs trimmed and nails alot, every few months, but they love the baby thing, i do have to stop her, im gonna decide, and if i let her hatch im gonna take the chix to hand feed at 3 weeks, in the day like i did the first clutch and give em back at night, and then take the box and split the pair for awhile and let kreacher stay with her and beaker can stay with [bungie] i think im nameing the yellow pied, still not sure, i like [juju]to, heck i dont know,

Re: new cage!!!!!!!, and two babies to their home,

haha, i agree, the round thing is for a cool spyder plant, not good for birds, i got it for free and its for more play room, and in summer i have a home for it for plants to a freind, hahah, i HATE that cage, i had so many babys flying and playing i put out all i had for fun spots, i had put it up the day i took the picks, but with no horizontal bars the babys couldnt even climb it well, heheh, i tryed, but the guys all love the new one, though i wish i could have afforded somthing wider than tall, they dont seem to mind,?
