Budgie Pain Reliever/ Aspirin

My budgie (Ivory) has just been diagnosed with gout. I would like to give her some sort of pain reliever/anti-inflammatory so she is as comfortable as possible. I am considering aspirin in a very small dosage in her drinking water. Any advice or suggestions for recommended dosage amount or other budgie pain relievers are welcome. Thanks.

The avian vet should be able to give you anti-inflammatories or pain meds for your bird. Many people here have said the vet gives them pain medication when there birds get hurt or are sick.

Please dont give your bird any medicines you take, this would kill them. There bodies are different then ares and the aspirin could possibly make your bird die so please dont do it.

Who diagnosed your bird with gout? If it was an Avian Vet, they are the ones who should be suggesting/prescribing any medications at all. Playing around with guess work at giving human meds to a budgie is a recipe for disaster...

i agree we can give asprin to dogs but ive had alot of birds and dealt with alot of vets, i havnt heard of it used, i would ask the vet, hope all goes well.
