Last night was the July Parrot Club meeting...and of course that means pictures again. There weren't a lot of birds there as it seems things drop off somewhat during the summer months...vacations etc...so I hope you enjoy what is here for you...

No, it's not Portia...she wasn't there. That is a male B&G named Oliver...
The bird in the pic below Oliver is Woodie, a Greater Jardines...

Thanks Natacha...the presentation was awesome. He has travelled all over the world for his pictures and they were absolutely awesome...and apparently he loves taking bird pics 'cause he had a bucket load of them...

Excellent - just excellent. And... OMG... you have... a green-naped rainbow lory in your club!!! I've never seen him/her in your past pics. Looks just like my baby bird. (sorry, I'm a bit partial - can ya tell? )

But I gotta say, dem 3 amigos take the cake (shhh don't tell Cosmo). OMG! How absolutely adorable.

Now I KNOW you got more. Can't wait to see them! (Hint hint nudge nudge)

I wouldn't think so. If I remember correctly, Sugar Ray is a scarlet macaw and that one looks like a green wing macaw.

You'd never know there weren't many birds there! It looks like you still got your fill. Great photos. The camera is doing you well. I missed the meeting this month but next month, I'll be there (cause I have to be... haha!).

Thanks Sue...and nope...no Sugar Ray. There were 2 Greenwings there...Picasso and Chelsea...both of whom have been in past threads. Sugar Ray and Morgan haven't been there in months and I don't know if or when he is planning to return...oh...and Natacha is correct...Sugar Ray is a Scarlet Macaw...

Thanks Sue...and don't feel bad...mixing up GW and Scarlets is common...it took me almost forever to be able to tell them apart easily and that only happened from seeing a goodly number of them

Boooo... I wish I could have seen Dave and Marlene's lory. Missed out.

As for the photos, I must say although the parrots are nice, my fave is the three budgies in the second set sitting on the perch. It is possible I like it because all three are perfectly clear and this is extremely difficult with quick moving budgies compared to the more relaxed larger birds. Who knows but it's a great shot!
