    hi,
my birds lay egs even if they have not been mated. so your female doesnt have to lay eggs, though should be likely to and will just take her time.
if you want your bird to eat the scrambled eggs, try mixing it through her budgie seed (only a little bit to start with) and see if she will eat it there.

    Re: question

Cool, but my female's name is Kiwi.
To mate the female "throws"her haed back and her tail goes up in the air. Then the male will balence himself on her, with his wings wraped around her and his tail pointing down.i hope that helps. It is easier to understand after you see a photo.you can probably see a photo in most budgie/parakeet books.

So does any one know how many days it will take after mateing for (if) the female 2 lay eggs?I would greatly appreshate(sp) your help!

OK! You need your questions answered ! Well I can help you out.

    1. It depends. If it is her first time for even mating, it may take her 7 to 8 wks. But the regular amount of time is 7 days.
    2. No she does not have to lays eggs. But more than likely she will.
    3. Get 8in1 Multi-Drops High Potency Vitamin supplement, a cuttlebone, and a mineral block. You should DEFINATELY have ALL of these since she will not eat the eggs..... Mine won't eat eggs either. You can get all of these items at your local Wal-Mart.

Hope I helped and keep us posted.ping :yum

    Happy Halloween!
