Re: Cought birds mating........now what?
hi,
my birds lay egs even if they have not been mated. so your female doesnt have to lay eggs, though should be likely to and will just take her time.
if you want your bird to eat the scrambled eggs, try mixing it through her budgie seed (only a little bit to start with) and see if she will eat it there.

question
how do you know if your budgies are mating i mean what do they do rub bottems or just kiss? and my males name is kiwi too!

Re: question
Cool, but my female's name is Kiwi.
To mate the female "throws"her haed back and her tail goes up in the air. Then the male will balence himself on her, with his wings wraped around her and his tail pointing down.i hope that helps. It is easier to understand after you see a photo.you can probably see a photo in most budgie/parakeet books.
So does any one know how many days it will take after mateing for (if) the female 2 lay eggs?I would greatly appreshate(sp) your help!
