    Cockatiel with a cough

Sassy has started to cough. I was quite upset as I have skip who is really ill at the moment, I really didn't need another bird to be ill.
On inspection, I watched everytime she has a coughing fit.
It turns out that she is mimicking my husband. He has a cough at the moment and sassy only does her coughing thing when he is home, funny thing is she makes a laughing sound after she has taken the micky out of my husband.

LOL, Imagine how I felt when she started doing this. It took a few days to realize what she was doing. I can not express how relieved I was when we finally worked it out. It really is quite funny now.

    Re: Cockatiel with a cough

Mouse minmics my coughing as well... he picked it up when I had pneumona (sp?) a couples months again. lol.

The best one is Bubba she doesnt mimic sounds but mimics injuries. seriously. When DH broke his ankle in 06 she would walk around with a limp on the same foot that he broke, once he got his cast off and was walking more normally again she stopped, lol.
