dot and sunnies baby thread

So dot and sunny have 5 eggs that are fertile I was wondering what i could get with the babies.
first up pics of dot

dot is the budgie looking kinda funny LOL

sunny on the left of dot she is a lutino

Are you sure the eggs are fertile, from these two? Looks like you have two girls to me.

With the other pair in the same cage there will be no way of knowing which is the father. Since Sunny is lutino which is a sex linked mutation there will not be any lutinos unless her mate is split for lutino. Dot is a recessive pied so his chicks won't be recessive pieds unless his mate is split to recessive pied. The chicks will be all normal greens unless the birds are carrying hidden genes.

Note for mighty mouse: Dot's cere is pink because of his mutation, it will never go blue like most males.

Haha so i have to wait till they hatch and feather up. Dot is the dad cause he is the only one that she will let near him

We have had our second baby hatch, mum is very good at letting me look in at the nest box. She even licks my fingers LOL not bad for a 'untamed' bird.
Baby number 2 is a normal black eyed bub.

that happend to me too but only one egg was fertile i am hopping they have another clutch

So sad to hear you lost your first two babies. I have babies right now that look very similar to yours - white down and pink skin. The father is a light green recessive pied (his cere also tends to look like a female)and mom is a sky blue grey wing. All four babies seem to be getting all yellow feathers so far - I was expecting visual green budgies. Any thoughts? Also, how did you know your first little one was an ino? What are your other babies like?

That baby is a lutino, so we know your male is split to lutino (as it's a recessive gene that both parents need, I'm pretty sure) and you could also get normal greens (as both parents are inthe green series) and if your hen is split recessive pied, you could also get recessive pieds (like Dot). Also, if both birds are split to blue you could get blue series bubsa swell
