    LooOoOove at first sight (pic)

Man, no wonder people bring home baby cockatoos all the time! This little guy was SUCH a lover. They can't sell big parrots here in Anchorage (in pet stores anyway), so Vinnie took me to a pet store on Ohio, knowing how much I love birds and all. And he was so patient with me while I just played with the bird for like an hour haha.

I'm pretty tired looking in these, all day at Cedar Point will do that to ya!

There was a Goffin that totally won my heart some years ago. Also a petstore bird.
Anytime someone would approach it's cage he would come close and stick it's head on the bars for a head scratch

Pet Supplies Plus. I worked at one of those at one point.

The too is absolutely gorgeous. I have an insane soft spot for Goffins!

I love 'toos but they scare me too - they scare me with the thought of all that screaming!

No, really - the dust would kill me, so I know 'toos aren't for me. I will likely stick to conures

Sigh. I know, isn't it terrible? Two years of deciding on what kind of parrot to buy here. Then we had it down to like three kinds of birds and went to talk to a breeder about getting one later that spring and what happened? Siiiiiiiiiiiigh. Tika. I think I was strong enough to pass, but no way in heck was hubby.
    "Stop!"
    "What?"
    "Dont look at "it". "
"Oh stop, loooook at her isn't she preeeeetyy?"
    "Don't have eye contact!"
Hubby walking over and picking her up, "awwwwwwwwwwwwe, omg, look at this love"
Puts her on my arm. "She looks so pretty with youuuuuuuu"
"Sigh, I"m not looking at her scott, go on, I mean it just take her away ..."

Oh he took away alright. Right the cash register.

LOL, I dedicated 5 years of my life to that company. I used to see Yellow and Green in my sleep. The minute I saw the signage, I knew. That is a nightmare I'll never forget.

Good company as far as animal care goes (better than Petco, that's for sure) but HORRIBLE place to work.

At a specialty bird in Auckland( NZ ) they have the cutest, most chubbiest galahs ever! And when you walked past they would push their heads against the cage so you could scratch it! Too Cute!

I also see why people birng home baby toos

÷No bird soars too high if he soars with his own wings.-William Blake(1757-1827)
÷It is not only fine feathers that make up fine birds-Aesop(620-560
÷Even small birds are a BIG responsibility.

Yeaaa I never liked working at a pet store, even though it was a real good, local one. Man, she was SOOO soft too. Like satin.

I really do adore 'Too's, but know I won't probably ever get to share my life with one. Adorable little Too you got to play with, I'm so jealous!
