20 years of owning this bird.... I wonder if it will die when they sell it, of misery.

The tiels look beautiful and the cage is nice too. Hope someone adopts them into their loving homes.
That is a nice-looking cage, except for the fact that it's way too small for two tiels. They look so cramped.

Re: AWW! *starts crying*
I will never understand why so many people give up their birds. I see it there, too, on the online auction site. They give them up, or sometimes offer a trade for another pet. I really wish it was harder for people to get birds as pets. People see them as disposable and they often don't get the same kind of respect as dogs and cats.
I will be the first to admit, I gave up two keets one time, but never again. I've learned so much since then and I know what birds I can and cannot take on.
So sad to see these kinds of ads. When I see them locally, I often want to make them feel guilty for giving up their birds, but I know it will make no difference.

I saw an add this morning for a macaw for sale for $500. Someone offered a trade for a 1990 Ford Bronco.

Holy crap...where do you find these ads? I have been browsing craigslist and all that...but all I come up with is some cages.
Our crystal tears now fall upon the ashes, but from the dust shall grow a new spirit, to be one in compassion for those who are lost, and one in determination to break those who dare test our resolve to be free.

I know... that poor alexandrine... 20 years with the same family, and no idea where he's going next...
Teddygirl- lots of times you'll see a cage advertised, and then click on it, and it says "cage comes with two free parakeets -good pet for a small child"
It might just be my area too, though... there are a lot of adds that say "cockatiel for sale" or "four budgies for sale"... ect. ect.
