I've started playing Dragonadopters again

I haven't played DC in while simply because I haven't had time and it does take a LOT of time. Not sure if I'll start up again; it was kinda irritating constantly updating sigs, trying to get rare eggs, refreshing constantly, etc. The only thing that I thought was fun was writing the descriptions (I am a writer, after all). I hated how people bragged on the forums, too, THAT drove me nuts. Just bloody enjoy the game! Don't brag that you've got more silver's or rare's than anyone else... Some of them were nice and would willingly trade or give away eggs but others... *sigh*

Dragonadopters has a lot more stuff you can do with your dragons. Also, it's more personal as you don't have fifty bazillion dragons. You adopt the dragons and can't give them up.

DC has avatars for different stages of each dragons life. Dragonadopters has a description and moving avatars for each stage. DA you get stuff like 'dragon scales' and 'aura' etc. depending on what kind of dragon you've adopted. Using this you can trade for other resources and purchase items, materials, etc.

I like DA a lot better than DC for a lot of reasons. Some of them stated above. I don't like having fifty bazillion dragons, I like my Wendell and Timaree... Despite the fact I don't think you can write personalized descriptions for them. I think the forums on DA are more friendly and not so much whining/lording but don't quote me because I've mostly been on DC and haven't been on DA in a while.

I agree with you, I'd much rather have only a smaller group of dragons than a whole bunch that I can't even keep track of.

If you don't mind me asking, what are the jewelery and stuff you see on your dragon pages?

EDIT: I joined and adopted a Furdragon! I wonder what color it will turn out to be?

The jewelry is for when your dragon starts producing resources (aka when it hatches) and you can buy jewelry that helps either growth, different resources, etc. You can also make your own to either use or sell by buying materials using those resources.

You adopt the dragons and can't give them up.

Actually, you can now release them once they're adults, if you really want to make room for a new dragon. A lot of people do get too attached to do that, though, which is understandable because you have the dragons for a long time, and their status even says they trust you and feel secure when you're there.

Ah, I wasn't aware of that (it's been so long). Yeah, you do get attached to them! I had trouble giving up eggs in DC... I don't think any of my DA dragons would be given up...

Kassidy, I use Eggs around the world, Draggonery, Egg Drop Soup, Draghatch, and Silvi's Lair and I don't have any problems with my eggs/hatchies.

I actually got two of the summon dragons. Most people don't even have one. And considering how unlucky I am, that's pretty amazing lol.

How do you get the summon dragons? And what are their names?

You get the summon dragons (or Guardian of Nature Dragon) by summoning them .

You have to have the Thunder, Ice, and Magma Dragons (all 3) and have to be unlocked. You can summon every two weeks. It's a breed specific action. So you just go to actions and if your unlocked it will show up as 'Summon'.

Hey I know no one ever posts in here anymore but I just wanted to show you guys this:



It's a dragon that I am making for DC!

I did not draw or color that picture, all credit goes to Glass-Walker on the DC Forums, but it is my concept. I've been really into designing dragons for DC lately and I have a few others but I wanted to show you this one because it is (loosely) based off of a Gold-Capped Conure, in memory of my baby Olive. It has the colors of a Gold Cap and it is called a Gold Capped Pygmy. It's not finished yet, there's still a few things that need to be fixed plus the female adult, male and female hatchies, and egg need to be done but i'm still very happy about it!

I just figured I would post this because I am really excited about it and I hope that one day it makes it as a real DC Dragon .

Yeah, in the AP when people bred them. I only saw one for like 2 seconds during that time.

I was just asking if anyone had one because i was hoping someone could breed me one. But I don't think anyone here has one so nevermind .
