Ring-necked parakeet cage sizes?

Hey there , ive finally decided on what i should be getting : i'm interested in a Rign necked parakeet depending on cage sizes .. What size cage would be ok?

the bigger the better. they have very long tails. at the very leat the cage should be 24x24. but ideal i think would be 32x24.

I agree with Javi. Get as large as the cage as possible. They are very active birds and love to fly. You will love your IRN. They are not known to be cuddly, just so you know. But they make up for that with other great qualities. They can be aggressive and attack, not all. I had a really aggressive one who would attack everyone but me. They are very intelligent birds and once they bond to you your heart will melt.

But, yeah, Ring-necks need huge cages, aren't known to be cuddly and um.. that's really all the information I know on them XD

I got it from Corbets Pets. I talked him down to $500, great deal on a cage that size. I was just so happy having a cage that big. Chiquita can fly in it and she just loves to fly in there. I love that cage, so does Chiquita.

polsky died. i am not sure what happened to rascal though.
can we see a pic of chiquita. would love to meet her

I posted in another thread that Polsky died. So I got Chiquita. The breeder clipped Polsky's wings and he fell to the bottom of the cage and died. I miss him so much and it just happened. I was devastated and felt sick. If he could fly he would still be alive. Chiquita can fly and I feel much better. I would never ever clip a birds wings.

Rascal had epilepsy and died from that so I was not off to a good start. I loved them both so much. I am paranoid about Chiquita. I love my animals so much and when they die it breaks my heart.
